Brownstoner, why do you permit daveinbedstuy to behave so rudely to a fellow poster? Does he get a free pass because he’s a frequent poster? Enforce the rules equitably.
“As I’ve said before, if you don’t like specific practices that Walmart does, pass laws against them that apply to all retailers/employees in the city.
Then wait 5 seconds for every small business in the city to burn you at the stake for putting them out of business.”
Exactly. Go ahead and pass the laws. And don’t forget laws already exist in NYC that independent retailers already refuse to adhere to. It’s intensely hypocritical. Of the city, of those small businesses, of the NIMBYs who don’t even live in ENY, everybody. I’d respect them all more if they’d just tell the truth and say the reason they don’t want Walmart here is because the Waltons are so right-wing. Which I totally get, please.
randi, fuck off.
“But this is NYC, not the rest of the country.”
WOW DIBS!!!! this is something i would expect to come from rob’s genius worldview. your statement is like sarah palin’s logic on gun control- she says the bad guys will always find a way to get guns so why bother regulating?! so by the same logic, you says “NYC is not the rest of the country” so therefore there should be no effort to make things here run better, be better for the environment, be cleaner and safter????
dave, would you like things in NYC to go back the way they were in the 70s – early 90s? i think not- your stupid bed stuy brownstone would be worthless.
pathetic.
Although I think I have only ever taken the B63 once, the bus tracking technology is very cool. I think it will be a huge convenience to bus riders when fully implemented.
ymbpoy…NICE CATCH!!!!!!
GrandPa, I get out. Probably more than you do you old coot.
I don’t take the bus so don’t really care. But this is NYC, not the rest of the country.
DIBS-
Bike racks on buses are standard in many American cities and seem to function just fine. You need to get out more.
Awesome shot!
