Christie’s Jamaican Patties, which has been in business on Flatbush Avenue for 45 years, is going to close in January, according to the Brooklyn Paper. The article says the much-loved Caribbean eatery’s owner, Paul Haye, is behind on rent and in the midst of a dispute with his landlord. Haye says his landlord is looking to bring in a tenant that will pay more for the location’s proximity to the Nets arena, while the landlord says Haye owes her lots of money.
