Williamsburg institution Dumont is being evicted by its landlord for nonpayment of rent, as Bowery + Bedford was the first to report. The restaurant at 432 Union Avenue has actually been closed since January, but said it planned to reopen. Owner Colin Devlin committed suicide last year. 1. i think it’s sad because of the owner’s death and had many many fantastic meals there. they welcomed everybody, and treated people well. it was a cozy local place, and i went there since they first opened even when i didn’t even live in the area.
