The Sunburnt Calf BK, the Vanderbilt Avenue sister restaurant of the Upper West Side’s Sunburnt Calf, is aiming to start serving friends-and-family meals later this week. The food is described as “Austral-asian cuisine,” and the menu that’s online shows entrees running from $12 for burgers (with bacon, egg, pineapple, cheese, beets, onion, lettuce and tomato) to $16 for dishes like Barramundi fillet or Asian BBQ shrimp. The restaurant group behind the place is also responsible for Aussie-themed spots the Sunburnt Cow in the East Village and the Lower East Side’s Bondi Road. Think the formula will work in Prospect Heights?
