We just got back from the kick-off event at Brooklyn Borough Hall for Dine in Brooklyn 2007; during the fourth annual installment of the event, which will run from March 19-30, $21.12 (a shout-out to all the zip codes that begin with 112) will buy you a three-course meal at nearly 200 participating restaurants. Of course, we (along with Marty and his staff and a few journos) got to sample fifteen or so of them for free this morning, and got to wash it all down with the newest beer from Brooklyn Brewery called Local 1. We can attest to the “bottle refermented” belgian ale’s suitability as a brunch-time beverage. Some of the restaurants at the event included Bocca Lupo, Bamonte’s and Provence en Boite. Check back tomorrow for more food coverage of the event.

  1. Here’s hoping that Marty the botard chokes on a big chunk of meat. He has some nerve showing his face in public after selling out this entire borough so that Ratner cat get fatter.
