After much anticipation and slight delay, Fort Greene’s new beer garden opened on Saturday, reported The Local. Der Schwarze Kölner, as it’s known, started pouring its 18 beers on Saturday night; the Local reported also noted that bratwurst and German pretzels were available to help absorb the generous servings of beer. For the time being, though, beer garden is a slightly inaccurate description, as the outdoor space is still under construction. Anyone stop by for beer this weekend?

Very funny — the idea of giving a hairstyle to a mug of beer. Believe the correct spelling is quaffing.
Fort Greene = Murray Hill.
Yikes!
am i the only one who thinks it’s really ugly? i mean a plywood awning? wtf is that?
> coifing beers
I’ve heard of beers with a head, but never with a coiffure.
How fancy.
Well, I guess “old” Brooklyn is gone for good.
When you see post-collegians in summer skirts and yellow t-shirts coifing beers in a Fort Greene beer garden’s open plate-glass window, the borough’s moved beyond — even! — the hipster phase.
It’s now in full Hanover/Ann Arbor/Palo Alto mode.
The hipsters are dead. Long live post-collegians.
Until the next “set” comes along. (Which is any day now.)
“For a Williamsburg bar, (DH would probably approve), you should look into the Abbey. ”
The Abbey is the perfect boring bar (which is a good thing)
M4L, my running skills are greatly improved with a promise of beer at the finish line 🙂
