  1. dave is right. the stock market is open. the ny times states that “financial markets are closed today”. what a dumb-dumb mistake. the times can’t figure out whether the ny stock exchange is on holiday or not.
newspapers are becoming such useless relics.

  2. dandel, lots of TARP money has been repaid. GS is less than $11 from what I said it’d go to ….$200.00. Everybody here thought I was nuts. GS bonuses will be huge. So will others.

  3. “Getting the rugs flat is the easy part. Discouraging the cats from rolling themselves up in said rugs like pigs in a blanket is a whole other ballgame.”

No joke. It’s really heavy so once that edge is flat I’m thinking they won’t be able to mess with it.

The coolest part, I won the rug in a giveaway one of my fav. design blogs was having. Well, $200 off but still. It was also in the clearance section and was 65% off the original price so I got an pretty amazing rug for practically nothing. I lucked out.

  4. Reverse roll and tuck? Dave I thought you didn’t do drag!

I don’t and I consider them upholstery terms, which I have done for my cars

Disclosure: I have never used TARP money to pay for cars or guys.

  5. Oh, and can someone tell me how to properly cook a salmon steak? I usually cook salmon fillets so this salmon steak threw me for a loop. It refused to cook all the way through. I wound up having to decimate it to get it to cook. By the time I was done it looked like salmon bits 🙁

  6. I don’t have the numbers, dandel. if it’s so important please post them yourself.

GS is the only financial services stock that we own right not and that’s all that matters. Back when it was around $140-160 I had many arguments with people here who said my target of $200 was nuts and ridiculous and that it was more likely to go to $100. Well, it’s $189 now, fast approaching $200.

  7. “If I wasn’t anonymous I wouldn’t have been in the running for any PLUSA award. As it is now I was named in the “poster one would most like to meet or punch” category.”

Ditto, or you can take my approach and show up and vie for the Poster One Most Regrets Meeting Award. Although I think I have that one all locked up.
