Brucie, the Italian specialty market coming to the old Cube 63 spot on Court Street is hoping to open this week. We started chatting with the owner and she was nice enough to let us take some pictures and tell us about her experience opening Brucie, which is her first restaurant. The place will be a pasta bar and market, with some seating and a take out option. (There’s an area set aside for a large pasta machine.) There is also a large room in the back she hopes to hold tastings in. Overall, seems like a good vibe. Do our Cobble Hill readers think they’ll try it out?
Cube 63 Goes Italian [Brownstoner] GMAP
Do CH readers think they’ll go? Of course, but only if the prices are 30-40% higher and portions 20-20% smaller than other local Italian spots.
considering the types place you go, consider yourself lucky if lice is only thing you picked up.
I think I may have gotten lice at the rub & tug upstairs.
Wait. They’re opening a food-related shop and they didn’t paint the exterior black? Is that even legal?
Only 2 new italian specialty place in the hood in the last couple months…things are slowing down.
She should do cooking classes as well if her pastas turn out to be any good.
I’m putting my requests in now to check this out.
Buccatini with a nice cheese sauce
Pappardelle with wild boar
Good ravioli, not something that tastes like it came frozen with “hard” edges.
