This Sunday is your last chance to check out the indoor flea in Dumbo (the Brooklyn Bridge flea will launch in a couple of weeks, on June 14th). In Fort Greene, Heart of Brooklyn, the consortium of top Central Brooklyn cultural institutions, will be making the Flea a special onetime stop on its HOB Connection free shuttle service this Saturday at 10am, 12:30pm, 2pm and 4pm. Hop on the shuttle outside the Lafayette Ave. gate and get a free ride to the Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Prospect Park Zoo, or the Brooklyn Public Library. The Scavenger Hunt items this week, meanwhile, are a box of Venus watercolor pencils and a cotton print dress in matching bag. Happy hunting! The Brooklyn Flea is held on Saturdays at the Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School in Fort Greene (176 Lafayette Avenue between Clermont and Vanderbilt Avenues; take the C train to Clinton-Washington or the G train to Clinton Avenue) and on Sundays in Dumbo at 76 and 81 Front Street.
As a Clinton Hiller (Hillite?), I try to get to the Brooklyn Flea as often as I can. It’s a little intimidating. I’m excited for this year!

Ditto that, Gabby! You done great!
Thanks, Biff! It was fun.
Gabby, just want to say you did an excellent job this week covering for Mr. B. Great stuff! Glad to see you back here again.
