Cars heading for Manhattan won’t be able to do so 24-7 on the Brooklyn Bridge as of tonight. According to The Brooklyn Paper, the closure schedule will run as follows: “The Manhattan-bound lanes will be closed weekdays from 11 pm to 6 am; Saturdays from 12:01 am to 7 am; and Sundays from 12:01 am to 9 am.” The closures are part of the bridge’s big rehab project, which is running until 2014.

I thought this has been true for months…..
the southern Eastbound lane on the Queensboro is the narrowest I’m sure! – it feels like your riding out above the water, and those angled buttresses every few hundred meters are a wheeze to squeeze by.

if you can’t handle, should not drive in BK
big problem will be when they shut BK bound overnight cause
much more traffic in that direction at night
another reason cabbies will use to refuse rides into BK on late nights
That’s all well and good, but what a bout WBurg bridge? The northern westbound lane is straight up INSANE.
