Closing Bell: A Fundraiser for Lucas Peterka

This Thursday there will be a fundraiser at the Old Stone House for Lucas Peterka, a PS 10 kid who was recently hospitalized. According to the event organizers, “At the beginning of the summer, Lucas suffered a massive heart attack due to a previously undiagnosed congenital heart defect. He has been in the hospital ever since. Lucas is a fighter and continues to amaze us all with his strength and spirit. But make no mistake, the amazing care Lucas has and continues to receive is expensive.” Proceeds from the fundraiser, which includes music, a raffle, and family activities, will go directly to Lucas’ family to help pay for his medical expenses.
