A House of the Day post at the height of the last bubble (2006) engendered a long discussion about price, value and, of course, safety in Prospect Lefferts Gardens — with side discussions about Paris and brie. Was a standalone woodframe house in PLG “overpriced” at $875,000? Heck — would it be now?

  1. It really does go to show, that those people that get out and look, taste and feel for themselves and determine their own needs, wants etc in the current market place at the time they are ready/need to move, instead of listening to anonymous market knee jerk commentators on blogs, really do make the right decisions..
Make your own choices, do not follow the madding crowd.

  2. 2006 was the year (at the end of the year) we bought our house in the Manor. If we’d been scared off by the haters instead of thinking for ourselves and seeing the beauty of the place then we wouldn’t own a house that based on several recent comps is worth nearly a million dollars more than we purchased it for.
