The streets weren’t bursting with trick-or-treaters this year, but Brooklynites still found ways to have some fun on Halloween. A crisp and sunny day emerged amidst the rainy week and brought the costumed and masked enthusiasts out to pose in costumes and enjoy the spooky decor ornamenting the borough’s houses.
The day was not without candy: Some inventive households perfected candy chutes, others set out pretty gift bags filled with treats while some left baskets and bowls heaped with candies for the taking on stoops. Distance was kept while goodies went sliding down stoops towards eager children at the sidewalk.
Not quite as many photos were posted this year but we still found some that capture the spirit of an unusual Halloween.
