It’s not too early to begin working on your vegetable garden, and you can start by trading seeds with other Brooklyn gardeners at an annual seed exchange.

For the 14th year, growers will be gathering at Old Stone House to exchange seeds and soak in some knowledge as they prep for the season ahead. Bring seeds from your own garden if you have them and pick up a diverse mix of veggies to keep your garden growing. There will also be some seeds for sale if you are looking for a specific variety to try this year.

The free afternoon of activities is a collaboration with The New York Permaculture Exchange and the Park Slope Permaculture Guild and there will be gardeners on hand to answer your horticultural questions.

The gardening fun takes place on Saturday, February 9 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Old Stone House at 336 3rd Street in Park Slope. For more information on the events for the day visit the Old Stone House website here.
