Finally! The Brooklyn Book Festival has announced its full lineup of events. The annual celebration of Brooklyn’s rich literary scene marks its 11th anniversary this year with star-studded lineup of hundreds of authors and moderators.

The largest free literary event in New York City, the festival takes place Sunday, September 18. The week plays host to a multitude of related activities, including the Brooklyn Book Festival Children’s Day on Saturday, September 17, and a series of Bookend events from September 12-18. (The programs for those have not yet been revealed.)

Highlights from the list of festival events include:

  • An exploration of The Legacy of Octavia Butler, presented by Greenlight bookstore at Borough Hall at 10 a.m. on September 18
  • Another Brooklyn and Brown Girl Dreaming author Jacqueline Woodson in conversation with the New York Times’ A.O. Scott regarding Brooklyn’s literary lineage at the St. Francis College Auditorium on 180 Remsen Street at 11 a.m. on September 18.
  • A discussion of Where Are Libraries Headed presented by the Brooklyn Public Library and the Architectural League of New York at the Brooklyn Historical Society Library at 128 Pierrepont Street at 11 a.m. on September 18
  • Remember All That? A Look Back at New York City, moderated by Tin House’s Rob Spillman at noon on September 18, at the Brooklyn Historical Society Library.
  • The coauthors of Made in Brooklyn: An Essential Guide to the Borough’s Artisanal Food & Drink Makers Melissa Schreiber Vaughan and Susanne Konig will talk about the Brooklyn food maker scene at the Brooklyn Historical Society on September 18
