A curated guide suited for natives and tourists alike, Rachel Felder’s recently released Insider Brooklyn provides a selection of Kings County’s eating and shopping highlights. Aesthetically pleasing, the book contains large-format closeups of venues and brief but refreshingly intimate descriptions of locations.
The book, published by Harper Design, is organized by neighborhood and focuses on Brooklyn’s best-known areas, like Williamsburg, Dumbo and Park Slope.
There is also a useful list of cultural institutions and public spaces worth a visit, including the Brooklyn Navy Yard’s Building 92 and Pioneer Works Center for Art and Innovation. Also included are guides to live music venues, flea markets, and hotels.
