Poetry Slam

Incorporate some culture into the early days of 2016 at BRIC’s first Brooklyn poetry slam and open mic.

An intergenerational performance, the slam, hosted by Mahogany L. Browne, will feature Brooklyn-based poets responding to issues from a local to a national level, additionally incorporating their perspectives on the current exhibitions on view at BRIC House.

The event will include music by DJ Jive Poetic, and will take place at 7 p.m. on January 12 at the Stoop at BRIC House, at 647 Fulton Street.

The event is free, but you can RSVP online.

If January 12 doesn’t work, fear not: BRIC will be holding the slams throughout the year, the next three respectively occurring on February 3, March 2 and April 6, all at the BRIC House Stoop, and all free.
