According to a tipster, there was a shooting a little while ago near the intersection of Fulton Street and Greene Avenue in Fort Greene. There are currently several police vehicles on the scene and the Fulton is shut down. If anyone’s nearby, please send a photo and some more details. The shooting comes on the heels of the discovery of human remains around Fort Greene Park.
Update: 5 shot in a barbershop on Fulton, shooter possibly on the loose. Police advising people to stay inside.

I don’t see any cops or body outlines in any of those pics. This is what’s wrong with US journalism. If this were Europe or even more so, Latin America, we’d see all the gory stuff.

It’s the same shooting, though the NYT has it as 704 Fulton St, not 692 Fulton St.

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Five people have been shot, one fatally, at a barbershop in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn.
The shootings occurred Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Police and EMS are on the scene at two locations located at 692 Fulton Street.
There are unconfirmed reports that an off-duty police officer was is among the wounded.

so there are two different shoot-outs with five people shot at each? this afternoon?
My eighty year old neighbor Mrs. Jones would be out on her stoop and would never allow anything of the sort happen over here!!
this is right outside my apt. cops won’t let us leave yet. all taped off. rumor has it the shootings happened at DeLux Gallery, a new hair salon that just opened up on Fulton btwn S. Portland and S. Oxford (next to Cakeman Raven). That salon goes all the way through to 91 Hanson Pl which used to be the only entrance. Only until this week did they open up the storefront that faces Fulton.
Also heard it was a blue Tahoe and the guys also continued shooting further up on Fulton (toward Bed Stuy).
