A reader sent in this photo of a billboard that recently went up on President Street and 4th Avenue. She said she finds the sign offensive. “Obviously, this is inappropriate for our neighborhood, is there anything that can be done? As far as I’m concerned, it is better that it is a woman’s face, instead of a suggestive photo of a women’s body, but it is still not right for Park Slope!” Thoughts?
Yeah I mean really, is it the wordage or the picture that is offensive? Change the wording to “Maybe its Maybelline” or “Loreal Lip Gloss” and you can use the exact same sign. So I take it the offensive part is the name of the club?
Well, I don’t like it and agree it’s inappropriate for that location. I sure wouldn’t want it right outside my building. Geez, all the men commenting don’t mind it–shocker!! Not only that, they think someone objecting to it is ridiculous–another shocker!!
where would this be more appropriate?
Aren’t NYC strip clubs bottoms and pasties? so basically no nudity.
i like my strippers like my wine, biodynamic from the south of france.

this isn’t even in Park Slope – west side of 4th, so it’s in GowANUS.
