A couple weeks ago we noted that the Western Carpet warehouse on Wythe and North 5th in Williamsburg had sold, and now plans for the property are becoming clear. An application was filed with the city for a 5-story, 157-unit building at 204 Wythe Street. Meanwhile, the architecture firm on the job, SLCE, has renderings on its website like the one above of what’s envisioned. The developer is the deep-pocketed real estate investment trust AREA Property Partners. It’s unclear whether they’re gunning for rental or condo.
