This Monday morning, while thoughts of fluffy omelets, French toast, and mimosas are still on your mind, can you name the best brunch spot in Brooklyn? We were such big fans of Oznot’s Dish in Williamsburg, and ever since it closed, brunch just hasn’t been the same. We don’t expect to find rich, cardamom-scented French toast or chai tea superior to Oznot’s, but we need to find another restaurant that’ll drag us out of bed on Sunday mornings. Cafe Luluc on Smith Street is our go-to spot at the moment, but it would be nice to find another favorite to keep things interesting.

Ha ha, Big Jim. It was mentioned on Brownstoner (I think) that that prison is empty right now (of inmates, anyway).
What’s the deal with 2 steps down? Never been but have always wondered?

Brunch at Chestnut on Smith is quite good…
I second the breakfast pizza at Brown Betty on Grand, and I’m also partial to the brunch offerings at Pequena on So. Portland in Ft. Greene.
Enid’s right on the Greenpoint/Williamsburg border at McCarren Park.
Ocean Park Seafood for dim sum in Bensonhurst.
Oznot’s closed because the owner of the building thought he could sell it for mega-bucks, so he threw them out.
He never sold the building.
Far too many building owners on the Northside are convinced that their building will sell for x million because they heard that someone’s did.
You cannot possibly in any normal mental state compare Oznot’s Dish to Taco Chulo. GIve me a break.
