Bareburger looks very close to opening at 145-149 Court Street, on the corner of Pacific, in Cobble Hill. In January, Grub Street reported that the grass-fed mini burger chain would move into the neighborhood. The burger joint is applying for a sidewalk cafe from Community Board Two on March 19; they are requesting 10 tables and 24 seats along both Court and Pacific streets. The only other Bareburger location in Brooklyn is on 7th Avenue in Park Slope and seems pretty popular. Meanwhile, Yemen Cusine remains open in a separate retail space, although the two share the same address. Bareburger replaced a newsstand and clothing store, according to Grub Street.
This franchise is full of s$&t. They claim they use local purveyors when it clearly states on their website that the beef is from Blackwing. That is in Illinois. And that is why the burgers need all that other stuff on them to make them edible. Build your burger will cost you $20. Good luck Bareburger, but you won’t be seeing me there…
Are you kidding me? There is already NO room to walk on that block as is! And that yellow is an eye sore. I wonder if the huge “bareburger” sign lights up too…
on a random weekday lunch i popped into the park slope bareburger for a splurge. it was frigging packed there were no seats. there were suits, tourists, college students, kids, real estate and maybe stadium related people. really was shocked, since everything else is usually somewhat empty. felt like the midtown lunch rush at rock center.
