All's Not Quiet on Amity Street

The Great Norah Jones Swimming Pool Build of 2010 is in full swing. This multi-platinum singer will be the envy of her Cobble Hill neighbors when it’s done, but in the meantime she’s not making a lot of friends on her stretch of Amity Street: “The noise has been going on for days at a deafening pitch,” writes the tipster who sent this photo in a few moments ago.
I give credit where credit is due. The job on the new sidewall windows was done flawlessly and the new pool went in without causing a collapse of the bearing walls and an evacuation order.
“one of those people who, when standing on the subway platform, has to cover his ears when the trains go by.”
Perfect, dibs.
I predict that once the pool is in and the side windows are finished, she will fall out of love with the house and sell it.
“The down side to the economic upturn.”
I’m glad others can see what is obvious. But, by stating that, you’re inviting attacks by those that still have their heads in the sand (or elsewhere). I’ll help you fight the good fight on this one!!! 🙂

It’s clear she is already envied by certain folks.
The same shit is going down on Bond Street, as the building on the corner of Bond & Dean is undergoing major renovation. I personally saw a dump truck nearly crush a pedestrian who was crossing with the light.
It is evidently crazy truck week in Boerum Hill, as my stroll down Bond nearly got me killed by two more extremely heavy trucks having difficulty navigating the narrow streets.
The down side to the economic upturn.
Well what are you supposed to do, tell people they can not work on their homes.
If it is between regular working hours it is tough.
People cannot expect any type of work to never happen.
We had our building water proofed, re-pointed, windows caulked, of course there was mess and noise, but repairs have to be made. The old lady on the first floor was complaining of it. So I told here, “Well, when would be a good time to do this”? then, gave her a dirty look and walked away…..
Some people have waaaaaay to much time on their hands.
All was
LOL, fjorder. I had some guy do that to me over the weekend. When I stared back at him, he pretended to re-adjust the Betty Boop figurines lining a glass shelf in the window.

Why not hate her? She sucks.
I guess we now know who sent the pic in with the bitching about the noise.
