About a year ago the Fort Greene mainstay Loulou called it quits, and we wrote that a new lease had already been signed with an Italian restaurant, with a $3,200 a month rent, or double what Loulou was paying. When we rode by the other night and saw the lights on at 222 Dekalb, with the paper removed from the window, we checked it out: It looks like a nice, subtly designed restaurant with the potential for a pretty great vibe. Because everything was set up, we’re expecting a soft opening soon. No word on their regulatory sitch, though. Update: Looks like there was a soft opening last night. Anyone go?

  1. I went, it was very good.
Nice staff (many due to training)polished feel for the opening day and surprisingly well executed food.
the menu had lots to be excited about and the prices were very good.
I live in the area and am happy to have a place like this open. They know how to run a restaurant

  2. TD, was there signage up? I wrote this a few days ago but I saw a Brooklynian thread up today saying there was what looked to be a soft opening, because there was still no sign.
