They’ve gotten quotes for the repair of their leaking roof but homeowners aren’t sure if they should follow along with recommendations to just add a new layer. They suspect there are already several layers of old roofing and they want to make sure any underlying leak issues are resolved. They also want to replace some skylights and improve the insulation. Should they consult an architect before moving forward and adding a new layer?
Please chime in with your advice.
