A reader is considering installing recessed lighting and is looking for some advice. They have a two-bedroom, two-bath condo in a prewar apartment building. The unit has 8 foot ceilings with wood joists spaced at intervals of 12 and 16 inches on center. They want to install recessed lights throughout the apartment. Is this feasible? What issues and costs might be involved?
