A homeowner discovered a notice on their front door alerting them to a required gas inspection by a contracting company on behalf of the gas company. The notice warns that ignoring the notice could result in a fine or termination of service. They didn’t receive any advance notice from the gas company and are wondering if this is a required inspection of the gas lines or a scam.
