In the midst of a brownstone renovation, homeowners are making some decisions about their heating system and looking for advice. Their budget is limiting some options but they found information on converting old cast iron radiators to work using an electric element.
They are installing solar panels during the renovation so are hoping that might offset the high cost of an electric-based heating system in New York, but are looking for advice from anyone who has actually installed such a system. What are the pros and cons?
