From the Forum: Planning Ahead for Backyard Weather

Currently a lead-filled dirt pile, the backyard of a brownstone has potential but the homeowners aren’t sure what to do. They don’t have the budget for an extensive reno but would like to make the very shady space usable for the family. What inexpensive solutions have worked for other brownstoners?
