New Yorkers who are considering making a move to the suburbs have plenty of questions — especially in the middle of a pandemic. Fear not, because real estate agents and lenders will be on hand Thursday, July 2 at 3 p.m. for a free webinar, “Thinking of Moving to the North Shore?”

Part of the Brownstoner Home Event series, the webinar will address topics like the state of the market, how Port Washington, N.Y., and the surrounding Manhasset and Roslyn areas differ from New York City, and new financial products that are available for buyers.

“The market in the North Shore has been extremely busy,” said Alana Benjamin, Associate Real Estate Broker at Compass. “We have the regular rush for the spring market, in addition to many other buyers and renters looking to leave Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn. Now that we are in phase 2 of reopening, showings are picking back up again. Open houses really aren’t back and probably won’t be for a while.”

Also participating is mortgage professional Domenick Biondi from Citibank, who will address questions about what impact the Covid crisis has had on obtaining a new mortgage and how the low interest rate environment can effect your purchasing power.

Sponsors include Compass Real Estate, Citibank, and Buckley Country Day School.
