Schneps Communications, owner of Brownstoner and a host of other local media outlets and events, has acquired the BlankSlate Pages software platform, furthering their investment in the local digital media space. The solution was acquired from Blank Slate Factory, the former owner of Brownstoner.

BlankSlate Pages is a local marketing solution that powers mini-sites for businesses that allow them to be easily found and promote their businesses online. Publishers use Pages for guide sections and directories like Brownstoner Services.

“We are thrilled to own a powerful and efficient product that is successfully used by hundreds of small businesses and thousands of readers to discover local businesses,” said Josh Schneps, CEO of Schneps Communications.

Pages allows businesses to create a page in seconds that is customized to any screen, provides SEO value, is integrated with social media, and includes maps, images, contact forms and other functionality.

In addition to its use on Brownstoner, Pages is licensed by a diverse group of publishers and organizations. BlankSlate Pages will be rebranded by Schneps along with a site relaunch in the coming months.

Businesses interested in creating a page or licensing the solution can contact bobby@schnepscommunications.com, and businesses interested in joining Brownstoner Services can click here.
