Honor the King of Pop This Weekend at Spike Lee's Annual Michael Jackson Block Party
Spike Lee, the director of classic Brooklyn films ‘Do the Right Thing’ and ‘Crooklyn’ and borough brand entrepreneur, is hosting his sixth annual Brooklyn Loves Michael Jackson block party this weekend, honoring the pop music king, who passed away six years ago this June.
Spike Lee, the director of classic Brooklyn films Do the Right Thing and Crooklyn and borough brand entrepreneur, is hosting his sixth annual Brooklyn Loves Michael Jackson block party this weekend, honoring the pop music king, who passed away seven years ago this June.
The party, which has drawn large crowds in past years, will take place in Bed Stuy on Saturday, August 27, from noon to 6 p.m. on Stuyvesant Avenue between Lexington Avenue and Quincy Street. Spike will cohost the free public event with rapper and MTV personality Sway Calloway. Music will be provided by DJ Spinna.
