  1. I think Michael Jackson died of a broken heart. No wonder he was on pain-killers. People were after him, taking him to court, suing him, trying to take his kids away. Lawyers tortured him by taking personal photos that he could not refuse. The media twisted even nice stories about him.

Most of the time the press was trying to dig up stuff about him — any small detail — his personal life was under continual threat. Then late-night comics having a field day with his life. It would take a boatload of pain-killers to deal with all the above.

First MJ was the most adored guy on the planet, then the media did a tear-down job on him for years. It was good for business.

Michael is gold for the media. They relished destroying him; now they adulate him and will milk everything about him for days, weeks, years to come: his estate, his kids, his wives, everything. Stories about MJ make them money. A sensitive artist is cold hard cash to cold-hearted people.

Some people in media think they can tear down people and it is not supposed to hurt — something like some commenters on Brownstoner and other anonymous blogs — name-calling, insults, whatever. If we don’t know someone in person they don’t exist.

Whether MJ was offensive with children I don’t know. I am inclined to think he was not. He was a big kid. But when vile accusations are made, they do not leave people’s minds. That is an ultimate tear-town.

I hope MJ is in Eternity in peace forever. Life was hard for him.

    Broken heart.
