This Sunday, Make Queens Safer is teaming up with Congressman Joseph Crowley and Assemblyman Francisco P. Moya to host a Pedestrian Safety Town Hall. The meeting comes after a series of fatal traffic accidents in the borough. DNAinfo notes that at the event “the focus will be on safety issues throughout the neighborhood, and politicians say they’d like to hear from the community about how to improve the situation.” This also comes before Mayor de Blasio will announce his proposal for a comprehensive roadmap for safer streets (also known as the Vision Zero plan) on February 15th. The Town Hall Meeting will be located at the Renaissance Charter School, 35-59 81st Street in Jackson Heights, this Sunday from 4 pm until 6 pm.
