Closing Bell: New Website Supports City PTAs

New York public school parents just launched the new website PTAlink.org. The website is intended for PTAs to create a network for greater collaboration among parent organizations. It includes a guide for PTAs that want to become incorporated non-profits, advice on how PTAs can support school curriculum and build community at their schools, and tips on PTA fundraising. It’ll provide support to all city PTAs but particularly new and developing ones. In the future, PTAlink plans to add a user forum, launch a mentoring initiative in which more established PTA officers are paired with PTAs looking for assistance, and provide technical assistance.
