Celebrate the National Park Service’s 100th birthday next week with a blowout at Brooklyn Bridge Park hosted by Bill Nye the Science Guy. There will be ice cream, games and music, including a DJ set by Questlove.
Celebrate the National Park Service’s 100th birthday next week with a blowout at Brooklyn Bridge Park hosted by Bill Nye the Science Guy. There will be ice cream, games and music, including a DJ set by Questlove.
The centennial event will take place from 1:30 to 10 p.m. on Monday, August 22, at Brooklyn Bridge Park. The day-long celebration will include an ice cream social hosted by the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory and music performances by the bands Ramblin’ Dan and Atlas Genius. Family-friendly activities include sand art, corn hole and temporary tattoos.
In the evening, attendees can change the color of One World Trade Center’s spire. Questlove will DJ during the interactive spire-color-changing experience, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
