We've Updated Our Spam Protection

Our tech team has made some pretty big updates to combat spam in the Forum.

*One is a plugin that should filter out most of the attempts by spammers to register in the first place.

*Two, Forum users now have the ability to mark spam when they see it. If enough users mark a post as spam, it will automatically disappear.

Very sorry for all the spam lately. We hope this puts a lid on it.

Lumberyard/Building Materials Recommendation for Downtown BK?

We’re doing a semi-gut renovation of a 1 bdr in downtown BK and are looking for a recommendation of a lumber and supplies place that will deliver our sheetrock, durock, Hardibacker, compound etc and when we order studs won’t send us a bunch of bowed and splitting rejects. Easy to deal with and good pricing a nice bonus if possible. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Scaffolding to protect garden from ivy removal

The 4-story high ivy on the adjacent wall in my backyard is going to be removed soon. I need to protect my garden while this is going on and think that the solution is a temporary scaffold over the garden. The part of the garden that needs protection is about 25′x10′. I’m thinking that a temporary scaffold would work but not sure where to rent one or if that is the best solution. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

How best to store old wood pieces to avoid insects

I have several antique wooden molding pieces that were removed during a recent renovation.  I plan on keeping them to potentially reuse in other areas of my home, but am wondering what is the best way to store them – I know climate control and keeping them out of the damp are issues, but I also have a big concern about attracting termites, since it will basically be a pile of old, dead wood.
Does anyone have any recommendations as far as wrapping/not wrapping; any kind of substances I can use around them to keep out bugs, etc.
Thanks!

Extra tile – 12″x24″, grey toned, with a polished glass-like look

I made an obvious error and bought the wall tile without having a sample of the floor tile with me, and they just don’t go.  This stuff sells for $60 a box at Classic Tile, so I’m selling it for $55 a box – you save the tax and a little $$, and I don’t have to load and unload it again to return it…
