Clinton Hill House for Sale -- 106 Cambridge Place

This two-family home on Cambridge Place in Clinton Hill has several points of distinction. It’s a wood-framer that dates back to the Civil War. It’s landmarked, sitting within the Clinton Hill historic district. And it will look familiar to fans of White Collar, on which it was featured as the home of federal agent Peter Burke.

It’s also quite a nice house. (What, you think Agent Burke would live in a dump?) It looks to be in fine condition, with intact original details including moldings, parquet and wide-plank floors, pocket doors, eight mantels and three wood-burning fireplaces.

It’s set up as an upper triplex with a one-bedroom rental on the garden level. The triplex offers four bedrooms, with the upper two floors each holding two, plus a bathroom and an office. So there’s plenty of room to play with there.

No kitchen or bathroom pics, which can sometimes mean problem spots being hid, but judging from the glimpse in the dining room shot below the kitchen looks entirely presentable, if not spacious.

There’s a nice bluestone patio in back, and laundry in the basement. Taxes are low, at $2,693, according to the listing, from Brown Harris Stevens brokers Christina H. Prostano and Laura Denise Milkowski.

The ask is $2,890,000 — a serious stretch on an FBI agent’s salary, but not out of line with the current market. Think it’s on target? How do you like the place?

  1. this house brings back fond memories. worked on white collar show. loved the show and this house! super historic and charming. original detail everywhere and very big inside. ultimate family house. wish I could afford it, but alas I’m still a lowly renter:( kitchens and bathrooms are spacious and modern from what I remember too.
