This five-bedroom, two-bath triplex in a Crown Heights brownstone seems like a spacious, unique apartment with a ton of original detail. There’s antique wallpaper, original marble sinks, five decorative fireplaces, inlay hardwood floors, original ceiling medallions and mahogany wainscoting. The bedrooms are large, and some of them have walk-in closets. The listing says the bathrooms are updated and the kitchen is brand new. There’s an office on the third floor and plenty of living space on the parlor floor, for a total of 2,700 square feet spread across three floors. By our calculations, this apartment works out to be a reasonably affordable share for $880 a bedroom. We did notice one eccentricity, however: The kitchen is located on the top floor, where the bedrooms are. Do you think you could live with the layout for $4,400 a month?
