The 12 newly constructed row houses that line North 3rd Street between Berry and Bedford streets in Williamsburg are finally on the market, as The New York Times reported over the weekend. MNS has listed prices starting at $2,380,000. Inside, they look a lot like any new condo, but each has 1,892 square feet of indoor space and 957 square feet of outdoor space. Also, at only 14 feet, 9 inches wide, they are narrow in the extreme. However, the floor plan is designed to maximize width in the rooms that need it. Specifically, the dining rooms are in front and the living rooms are in the back, so the living rooms run the full width of the house. Two bedrooms are on the second floor, with a master suite and an outdoor terrace on the third. Each living room has a working limestone fireplace and a greenhouse-style bank of windows along the rear wall. Bathrooms have radiant heat, kitchens have Sub-Zero and Miele appliances, and each house comes with parking. The townhouses were designed by Rothzeid Kaiserman Thomson & Bee and Stan Allen, who from 2002 to 2012 was the the dean of Princeton University School of Architecture, noted the Times. How do you like the design and the prices?
