Button Making at Ground Floor Gallery
Make art for mom this Mother’s Day! WHAT: An interactive button-making project for Brooklyn families! Mom can also win an original art work by artist Lori Nelson by entering our raffle. WHO: Your child + Lori Nelson, Ground Floor Gallery’s featured artist (and Park Slope mom!). WHEN: Saturday, May 4 from 1 – 6:30pm (the closing weekend of Lori’s solo exhibition, “Next Generation”). Caribbean Food & Culture Adventure in Brooklyn
A tour through Flatbush that features the culture of the West Indian Islands. Expect to meet cool people, taste yummy food and have an all-around awesome time! Length is approx. 2 hours and includes some short walking. Meet at Flatbush Caton Market, 794 Flatbush Ave (corner of Caton Ave) at 1pm on Saturday, May 4th.

Brooklyn Flea + Smorgasburg
The Brooklyn Flea runs Saturday in Fort Greene and Sunday in Williamsburg, and the Smorgasburg market runs Saturday in Williamsburg and Sunday in Dumbo. Smorgasburg features every type of food, beverage, and treat imaginable. Entry to all markets is free.
