Work Spotted at Future Gowanus Social Club

Work is under way at 501 Union Street, the future catering hall, community center and private club planned for Gowanus. The owner of the Green Building right across the street purchased the warehouse in an effort to expand the rental facilities offered at the Green Building. According to this January article by DNAinfo, the space will have “a 3,500-square-foot main hall with a bar, a 1,300 square-foot outdoor area, and a smaller cocktail lounge with a separate entrance.” The social club, called 501 Social, will be open Monday through Thursday and the venue will be rented out for events on weekends.
