Inside Williamsburg's Newest Art Studio, Bird River

Bird River Studios has started holding trial classes at 343 Grand Street in Williamsburg. Husband and wife team Sigrid and Trevis Orr live in the neighborhood and say the space has been a long time coming. They did most of the interior renovation themselves, making room for work spaces on the first floor and basement, a garden space, and a small kitchen. They’ll be trying out different children’s art classes for the next few weeks and plan to start up an after-school pickup program to coincide with the after-school classes. Ideal class sizes will range around ten kids. Adult classes, workshops, birthday party packages, gallery space and art/performance events are soon to come.
