The median widening project on Eastern Parkway is moving along and looking good. Last month, Prospect Heights Patch posted a photo of workers laying blacktop on Eastern Parkway between Underhill and Washington. The project extends from Washington Avenue to Grand Army Plaza, most of which is now repaved. More improvements include new curbs and sidewalks, catch basins, chute connections, pedestrian ramps, manholes, fire hydrants, street lighting and traffic signals. At this point, workers are installing the new sidewalk, some new streetlights, and what looks to be space for plantings. The work is expected to wrap this fall.
