A few readers noticed lots of activity at Toren’s commercial space, slated to be a grocery store called NYC Fresh Market. We spoke with someone on site who said the targeted opening is next month, but he thinks it’ll take closer to two months. You can check out a sneak peak of the interior here! News of a supermarket has been on-and-off for two years now, and the last we heard it was supposed to open by early this summer. In related news, the restaurant/bar under the Avalon Fort Greene looks close to opening. Boerum Hill’s Building on Bond expanded into the space and will serve sandwiches, some entrees, and salads.
