More Traffic Signals Coming to Kent Avenue

Community Board 1 has been talking for a while about ways to make Kent Avenue safer and now, in response to the board’s concerns, the DOT will add three traffic signals to Kent Avenue. The signals are planned for North 5th, North 6th and North 7th streets. According to the city, the work is tentatively scheduled to be completed by the end of May. Kent Avenue is becoming something of a poster child for safer streets in Brooklyn, wouldn’t you say?
