  1. This trailer is an early ’50s Spartan Manor made of aircraft aluminum, not stainless steel. They were manufactured by Spartan in Tulsa OK after WWII until the early ’60s, and are far superior in every way to an airstream. I am the proud owner of one, but my silver brownstone is mired in the cheesehead state because I am not faux enough to “git me” a pick up truck. It cost 2300 dollars in 2001. When I bought it I had NO idea it would be worth so much one day!

  2. Finally a place for me to post a GOODS rant –

I once ate at Goods and it took like an hour to get a burger – it was a cute, a very cute, idea gone totally wrong.

They restored this airstream to be a take out joint – very cool looking , but it was still a tiny airstream inside – so they had to put a walk in fridge directly outside of the airstream – then they had to build some kind of big superstructure all around the Airstream, which hid the airstream, and made it kind of pointless. but the kitchen is still crammed into the Airstream, while the rest of the joint is outside of the Airstream.

The day I got my burger, me & my friend watched the sight of people walking into the Airstream (door slam), out of the Airstream (door slam), into the Walk-in (door slam) out of the Walk-in (door slam) back into the Airstream with the lettuce from the walk in (door slam) back out with a drink , back into the walk in, over to the tables … it was like a Looney-Tunes cartoon.

I don’t know if the usual insane NYC regulations just make a take out trailer with a picnic area illegal, but that’s what GOODS should have been, that is what it ISN’T , and why it is a DISASTER which the founders are trying to get the hell away from!

  3. isnt iced coffee at blue bottle like 15 dollars? i’d rather this thing be converted back to it’s original incarnation, housing for trailer trash, not a place for wannabe faux trailer trash to get overpriced food.
