In February Here’s Park Slope reported that South Brooklyn Pizza, which just opened another spot on 4th Avenue, would also have an outpost at 447 1st Street, off of 7th Avenue. When we checked it out recently, the business’s signature red storefront had already replaced the two stores originally in place. GMAP

  1. yeah i have bought 4 dollar slices before but they are usually LOADED with all kinds of toppings, then i dont mind. 4 dollars for plain i do mind.. also am i the only one who tries their hardest to the get the person to cutting out a slice to pick the biggest one? i bug OUT when i see them reaching to cut the smaller one! especially if they size differences is significant!!!

  2. $4 for a slice….it better be REALLY good.

That doesn’t really bother me that much. What really bothers me are the places that charge 6 extra bucks for a crummy topping on a whole pie.

rob, it’s alright that a few really good pizza shops are around. I’m tired of these ghetto ass pizza shop price wars where the slices are dirt cheap and they make up for it by hardly having cheese on them.

oh yeah, that end of the spectrum with the dollar slices.. okay agree with you on that, but it doesnt seem like any places in park slope compete with lower prices for anything!!! instead they raise the prices and people think they are getting better quality, but sometimes im chary..

This is a few steps up from the “psychic gallery” where a woman lived with her little kids for months, turning tricks.

  5. Since we’re talking pizza, I just wanted to give a shout out to Peppino’s on 5th Ave between 10th & 11th. I was there again recently after a long hiatus, and DANG that is some tasty pizza!
