A press release brings new info about the V3 hotel rising at 231 Duffield in Downtown: It’s going to be dubbed “Hotel 718” and is scheduled to open in November. The release also says the 128-room property will have an 80-seat bar and restaurant, and amenities will include “spa services, a fitness center and cardio room, and 24-hour Brooklyn-centric concierge services.”

  1. 718? Ya mean, like, 718 Queens, 718 da Bronx, 718 Staten Island? Marketing team obviously not old enough to remember when all boroughs of NYC shared the same area code, only dialed from outside the city.

  2. This is great news for the nabe. With the fourth hotel rising soon, and the other towers in this area (Bridge St, Flatbush, Avalon Willoughby) there will soon be enough density and foot traffic to support 24/7 type places (full service restaurants, larger retail establishments, another grocery store)

    What ever happened to those lots on Flatbush and Tillary?
