What the heck happened at Williamsburg’s Urban Greene? Last we checked this development at 142 North 6th was being built, units had already been sold, and move-ins were expected for winter of 2008. Looks like the building was a victim of the crash and has been left in standstill for a while now. We saw workers cleaning up around the place and doing minor construction on the ground floor. We’re assuming all those buyers have been able to get out of their contracts by now. Hopefully this one will be able to return from the dead.

there was a whole crew of construction guys in front of here this morning at around 8:30 (eating their breakfast – not building condos)
Pretty crappy construction on close inspection. Disappointing for such a prime williamsburgh location.
The only sign of life at this project for the past year or more has been the security car parked on North 6th. I’m not even sure that counts as a sign of life, since it doesn’t look as though it’s been moved in all that time.
But don’t mess with them – they have security.
no activity here for a LONG TIME. Really wish they would start moving along and get rid of that scaffolding.
hope those windows are quadruple paned – that block gets a lot of drunken foot traffic every night.
